Total Processing & Packaging Show

Mecmesin will be displaying a range of force and torque measurement equipment, suitable for testing a wide range of packaging products, on stand 3020 at the NEC, Birmingham, 15th - 18th May.

These will include:

MultiTest 5-x; a console-controlled tension and compression measurement system capable of testing samples up to a capacity of 5000 N. This system is one of our easiest test systems to start using and provides the added benefit of being programmable. Using the keypad interface one operator can program and store up to 30 test routines, while the actual user then simply selects the program from the menu and presses `Start` to begin the test. The MultiTest-x is an ideal measurement solution for the production floor where saving time, money and space are often a necessity.

MultiTest 1-i; a computer-controlled test system capable of testing samples up to 1000 N. The benefit of using this type of stand is that it is fully programmable, enabling complete control of all test parameters. Incorporating Mecmesin`s Windows based software `Emperor`, the operator uses a graphical based interface to program the test, watch it live on screen, replay, archive and interrogate results with easy-to-use diagnostic tools. For detailed results and comprehensive analysis possibilities, the MultiTest-i system is the best choice.

Vortex; a motorised torque tester capable of assesing both clockwise and anticlockwise properties of a range of packaging closures up to 10N.m. The Vortex has a twin-column structure enabling precise readings to be taken and requires two-handed operation ensuring safety with each test. With the use of versatile upper and lower mounting tables, this system can accommodate a variety of sample shapes and sizes up to a maximum height of 350 mm. Additional items such as an Advanced Force and Torque Indicator (AFTI) may be purchased to store and transmit data for further analysis, if required.

Orbis; a manual torque tester instrument used to test the release and application torques of screw closures up to a maximum capacity of 10N.m. This unit benefits from a large LCD display to make light work of reading any abnormalities in the samples performance; a mounting plate to accommodate a variety of sample shapes and sizes up to 160 mm in diameter; splash-proof housing to prevent damage to the unit through spillage yet remains lightweight for easy transportation.

Visitors can view and participate in demonstrations of these instruments testing a range of packaging products, components and materials. Mecmesin engineers will be on hand to share their expertise in quality control testing, giving you the opportunity to see how our products could help attain the standards and requirements you need and want for your product.

Why not take the chance now to visit our packaging and plastics application pages, and find out more about the testing solutions which Mecmesin engineers have developed for the packaging industry. More information is also available on the Total show website.
