Crimped pull testers, or crimp pull test equipment, measures the tensile force required to detach a crimped ferrule, terminal or connector from a wire. This may be a production line test combined with calibration of crimping tools, or as part of life-span testing and, in the case of electrical wiring, in conjunction with electrical integrity. A motorised test stand, with special fixtures for variable sizes and shapes of wires and connectors, applies tensile force at a consistent speed as required by test standards. Under computer control, programs can be written for all applications and product types, and recalled at the touch of a button. With at-a-glance indicators of pass and fail against preset tolerances, Mecmesin universal testers are equally suited to the production floor or laboratory. With our computer-controlled systems, detailed data are captured and plotted live on screen, and samples, batches and operators can be traced. Analysis on slippage point and break can be fed back to the production line even before complete tolerance failures are found, and data can be output to SPC systems.
Operated by an easy-to-use touch screen, our MultiTest-xt test stands enable fast and efficient routine testing on the production floor in one complete solution.
Our entry-level MultiTest-d test stands are a cost-effective solution for straightforward wire terminal strength tests. Most test standards require a motorised test system to attain a uniform pull speed of either 25mm or 50 mm/minute and the MultiTest-d guarantees repeatability, accuracy and precision.
